Gary Neville and Roy Keane both in agreement over two standout players they will closely watch at Euro 2024

Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville both agreed on two talented players they are keen to see in action during Euro 2024 in Germany this summer.

Euro 2024 will officially begin on 14th June when host nation Germany kicks off the tournament against Scotland in their Group A opener in Munich.

Defending European champions Italy, who defeated England in the Euro 2020 final, have been placed in Group B alongside Spain, Croatia and Albania.

Italy finished in second place in their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, with Euro 2020 runners-up England finishing top of Group C without a single defeat.

England are predicted as one of the favourites to win the tournament this summer, with France and Germany also tipped to come out on top at Euro 2024.

Gareth Southgate, who has been linked with Manchester United in recent months, will take charge of his fourth major international tournament with England.

The 53-year-old England boss led the Three Lions to the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup in Russia and reached the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Keane and Neville on two players at Euro 2024

According to The Sun, Roy Keane and Gary Neville made their Euro 2024 predictions on ITV ahead of England’s 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday.

Both Keane and Neville named Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham and Manchester City playmaker Phil Foden as two of the players they want to watch.

Jude Bellingham had a sensational impact in his debut season at Real Madrid after Los Blancos signed him from Borussia Dortmund in 2023.

The 20-year-old Madrid star became a key figure for Carlo Ancelotti in the 2023-24 campaign, with Bellingham lifting a La Liga trophy and a Champions League title.

Bellingham scored an impressive 23 times and picked up 13 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions for Madrid last season.

Phil Foden also had an impressive season at Manchester City and was instrumental to Manchester United’s rivals capturing a fourth consecutive Premier League title.

The 24-year-old City star made a whopping 53 appearances across all competitions, with Foden scoring 19 times in 35 Premier League matches last season.

United legend Keane, unlike Neville, had another player on his ‘ones to watch’ and he is keen to see how England captain Harry Kane does at Euro 2024.

Harry Kane, who was heavily linked with United last summer, left Tottenham in 2023 and completed a blockbuster move to Bayern Munich.

The 30-year-old Bayern Munich striker was in scintillating form in his debut season in Germany, with Kane scoring 36 times in 32 Bundesliga appearances.

However, Kane’s first season at Bayern Munich ended without major silverware after Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen lifted the Bundesliga title.

Keane and Neville predict Euro 2024 winner

Keane believes that host nation Germany will come out on top at Euro 2024, with the Irishman making his stance clear on how England will perform.

The 52-year-old former United captain expects England to come out on top in Group C, but Keane is not convinced that Gareth Southgate’s men will win the tournament.

Neville, unlike Keane, strongly believes that the Three Lions will capture their first piece of major silverware since the 1966 World Cup.

The 49-year-old Sky Sports pundit has backed Southgate’s men to emerge top of Group C before going on to win the European Championship.

Euro 2024 is likely to be Southgate’s last major tournament in charge of the national team, with the England boss out of contract in December.

England will face Slovenia, Denmark and Serbia in Group C in a bid to reach the knockout stages of the competition in Germany.
