Russia is preparing new psychological operations against Ukraine's military leadership. The Russians have allocated $15 million for the campaign, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

The next wave of information and psychological operations will be aimed at discrediting the military leadership of Ukraine, in particular against the Ukrainian military intelligence.

The Russians have allocated $15 million to implement a new large-scale campaign against Ukraine. According to intelligence, the Russian Chekists' agents have already received instructions to organize the production and dissemination of relevant materials in the media of Ukraine and Western states.

These will be articles and films in which they plan to disclose the data of DIU employees who coordinate the combat work of special units of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The goals:

  • discrediting Ukrainian combat special forces, their officers and employees;
  • blocking the work of agencies that develop and execute combat and special tasks against Moscow;
  • creating another factor of social tension in Ukraine.

Maidan-3

In February 2024, the head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Russia was planning a large-scale discrediting campaign against Ukraine. The Russians expected that it could lead to a coup d'état in Ukraine. That is why the campaign was called Maidan-3.

Later, the intelligence service explained that Russia planned to disseminate a large number of information and psychological operations, including in the Western media, to discredit the Ukrainian leadership.

The DIU also reported that Russia was preparing new operations for July 2024. Russians even searched for Patriot missile debris in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
