'Epic trolling': Hush money D.A. burns Trump with second newsletter billing—beneath pizza

A New York City prosecutor delivered a subtle burn to Donald Trump when he gave top newsletter billing not to , but to pizza.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Braggs' monthly newsletter, released Friday, celebrates first the conclusion of a criminal wage theft investigation of a historic New York City pizzeria.

"We announced the guilty pleas of Grimaldi's Pizzeria owner and Manhattan manager for stealing $32,080 in wages from 18 employees, many of whom reported the theft to the D.A.'s Office after the indictment was announced," the newsletter opens.

Bragg then says in a statement, "With today's guilty plea, 18 hard-working New Yorkers will be made whole and receive the wages stolen from them by their employers at Grimaldi's Pizzeria."

The newsletter then highlights three local news reports readers are encourage to peruse.

That important news out of the way, Bragg deigns to mention the New York City jury that found Trump guilty of concealing hush money payments to an adult film star ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

"While this defendant may be unlike any other in American history, we arrived at this trial, and ultimately at this verdict, in the same manner as every other case that comes through the courthouse doors: by following the facts and the law without fear or favor," Bragg said.

Politico reporter Kyle Cheney was among the first to spot Bragg's newsletter billing decision and was quick to share it with his readers on X.

His followers were equally quick to guess the reasons for such placement.

"Epic trolling by Alvin Bragg," replied @glkg0223. "tRump will be so livid he wasn’t listed first."

"Ha ha. This has got to hurt the narcissist’s ego," added @kushibo. "He’s not even the biggest white-collar criminal."

A New Yorker had this to add: "Wow. Grimaldi is excellent pizza. This is disappointing."
