Florida State basketball received some much-needed good offseason news as forward Jamir Watkins announced on social media that he will return to the Seminoles’ program for the 2024-25 basketball season.

“Unfinished business,” wrote Watkins on his Instagram account.

At the time of his announcement, Watkins was the top player available in the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings with a 96.90 rating.

Previously from VCU, Watkins joined the Florida State basketball program for the 2023-24 season and quickly asserted himself as the Seminoles’ top player. Watkins led FSU in points, rebounds, steals and blocks and was tied for the team lead in assists in ’23-24.
