‘He’s just amazing…’ Simon Cowell reveals son Eric’s musical talent

Simon Cowell’s 10-year-old son is an “amazing” drummer.

The 64-year-old music mogul has a close bond with Lucy Spraggan and not only does the ‘Sober’ singer love hanging out with his, partner Lauren Silverman and their son Eric, she’s been very impressed by the youngster’s musical talent.

She told Heat magazine: “I love Eric. He’s such a little character now and so much fun to be with.

“I love spending time with him.

“He’s learning to play the drums at the moment and he’s just amazing.

“He has the same ear for a song as Simon – it’s like father, like son.”

Simon is set to give Lucy away when she marries her partner Emilia Kate later this month, and the former ‘X Factor’ hopeful feels “very honoured” that he agreed.

She said: “[Simon is] why we’re getting married in June – after the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ shows.

“I know Simon doesn’t like going to weddings so I’m very honoured.”

Simon previously revealed Eric was keen to show off his drumming skills on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, much to his horror.

He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “He’s now decided he's going to audition for Britain's Got Talent’.

“I think he wants to be in a rock band. He loves Green Day.

“That's going to be total torture. I mean, of all the things I've ever done, this will probably be the hardest, because he does play drums. [He's] going to drum and sing! I went, 'Oh God, no.' ”

The outspoken star never wanted his son to audition but he is “really serious” about his intensions.

He added: "I always promised him, ‘No you stay this side of the camera darling.’ But I don't know what it is, maybe because all these kids are auditioning and now he wants to be up there with his friends.”
