Russians claim death of 22 people in occupied Sadove village

22 people, including one child, may have been killed and 15 others injured by Russian shelling around 7 p.m. EET on June 7, according to earlier media reports.

The National Police have opened a criminal investigation for violation of the laws and customs of war under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Those responsible could face life imprisonment.

The legitimate Ukrainian governor of the partially occupied Oblast, Oleksandr Prokudin, refuted these claims and posted a video on June 7, showing discrepancies between the actual date of the strike and the pre-made Russian video.

Earlier, on June 3, Prokudin reported that the Russians were planning "a provocation to stage the death of civilians" in Kherson.
