Arsenal fans are now buzzing as Kai Havertz scores 'impressive' goal ahead of Euro 2024

Arsenal star Kai Havertz took some time to settle after joining from Chelsea last year, but he is now firing on all cylinders.

Havertz joined Arsenal for £65m in a surprise move given his struggles at Stamford Bridge, and he was criticised after a slow start saw him fail to impress in midfield.

However, he moved to a centre-forward role in the second half of the season, and everything clicked into place for him and Arsenal. The German has been outstanding in front of goal in recent months, and Mikel Arteta has helped him regain his confidence.

Havertz’s fine form has also put him in a strong position with the German National Team. He lost his spot when his confidence was low, and was even trialled as a left-back earlier this season.

However, Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed he will start upfront at the European Championships, and he repaid this faith with a fine goal as Germany beat Greece in a friendly.

Germany beat Greece 2-1 in their final game before their home tournament kicks off, but they found themselves trailing 1-0 at half time.

That was until the Arsenal attacker stepped up to continue his hot scoring streak. In the 55th minute a cross found Havertz in the box, and the 24-year-old pulled off an excellent turn before firing into the bottom corner.

Arsenal fans were delighted with the strike, and many highlighted how Havertz’s increased confidence since joining the club has helped him reach a new level of performance.

“The pass wasnt so accurate but Havertz managed to make it count. This is impressive,” one fan pointed out.

“He’s getting his lethal Leverkusen confidence back and it’s all down to Mikel Arteta, my manager,” another posted on X.

“We really need to study, what Arteta did to this guy,” another pointed out, highlighting the incredible work done by Arteta to get Havertz fully firing.

Arsenal have been linked with several strikers ahead of the summer transfer window, but the desired target has now changed from an attacker who can make an immediate impact, such as Victor Osimhen, to a younger forward who can develop whilst Havertz continues upfront.

“We don’t need another striker please,” one fan even stated following Havertz’s goal.

“Arsenal have created a monster in Kai Havertz. The confidence he’s playing with was all that was needed, the quality has always been there, and we’re only scraping at the surface of his enormous potential,” another fan stated.

Havertz has admitted that his first season at Arsenal was the best of his career, and there is plenty more to come from a player who is now truly at the top of his game.
