"New history will be written tomorrow," says MP CM Mohan Yadav on PM-designate Modi's swearing-in ceremony

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 8 (ANI): Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday expressed happiness and said that a new history would be created on June 9 when Modi would take oath as PM for the third time.

The NDA, led by the BJP, held a meeting of its newly elected MPs at the central hall of Parliament on Friday to choose Narendra Modi as their leader ahead of the oath-taking to be held Sunday. He was elected as Leader of the BJP and Leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party.

Addressing a press conference in Bhopal, CM Yadav said, "On June 4, the Prime Minister received the public's mandate to form his government with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). I extend my congratulations to him. Yesterday, he was elected the leader unanimously by the NDA members and everyone congratulated him. Tomorrow will write a new history and a new chapter when Modi will take oath as the Prime Minister for the third time in the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening."

"All the party workers including me, MLAs, ministers, chief ministers and 142 crore people of the country are waiting for tomorrow's holy day. I will go there tomorrow afternoon to attend the swearing-in ceremony," he added.

He further shared information about the initiatives of his government for the welfare of the state.

"On June 5, I started the 'Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan' at the origin of Betwa river in Raisen district. Under this Abhiyan, the water sources of the state are being conserved and cleaned. The Abhiyan will continue till June 16 across the state. We have initiated 990 works worth Rs 3,090 crore for water conservation," he added.

Repair work of water sources and environment conservation works are being done across the state. After that, the state government has also decided to plant about 5.5 crores slapping in the state, CM further said. (ANI)
