Omaha (Neb.) Millard North three-star linebacker Pierce Mooberry has committed to Nebraska, he announced on Saturday.
He chose the in-state Cornhuskers over the likes of Kansas State, Minnesota, Iowa and Iowa State.
“Nebraska is just who I am and will always be,” Mooberry told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “I’ve grown up a huge Husker fan and it’s always been the dream to play at Nebraska. Me and Caden (VerMaas) used talk about it when we were young. The staff is great, I believe Coach Dvoracek and Coach White will put me in the best position to succeed on defense.”
Mooberry is the No. 877 overall prospect and No. 90 LB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Nebraska.

The 6-foot-4, 196-pounder has been a frequent visitor in Lincoln, making trips in January, March and April. He’s set to return for his official visit later this month on June 21.
“The environment for a spring game was great,” Mooberry told On3 in April. “Husker fans never disappoint and it’s crazy! Excited to continue my relationship with the coaching staff and learn more about the opportunities offered at Nebraska.
“It’s definitely setting the standard.”
Huskers up to 10 commits in 2025 cycle
Mooberry is the second prospect to commit to Nebraska this month, joining Saint Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter Prep four-star running back Jamarion Parker. The Huskers now have 10 pledges overall and a class that ranks No. 33 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Orange (Calif.) Lutheran four-star quarterback TJ Lateef is the lone top-300 prospect in the mix for the Huskers. The Elite 11 finalist chose Nebraska on May 12.
“Nebraska made me feel wanted,” Lateef told On3. “The communication was heavy with the coaches since they offered me and they were very consistent. My biggest thing was always to go where I was wanted, and before the official visit they made me feel wanted, then on the official visit, they checked all of the boxes.”
Parker, a former Arkansas pledge, is the No. 26 RB in the 2025 cycle and the second blue-chip recruit to choose Nebraska behind Lateef.
Mooberry joins a quartet of in-state commits in the class. Omaha North three-star defensive lineman Tyson Terry and Omaha Millard North three-star safety Caden VerMaas are the No. 3 and 4 players in the state, while Lincoln Southwest three-star athlete Jackson Carpenter and Wahoo Bishop Neumann three-star running back Conor Booth check in at No. 5 and 7 overall.
Lehi (Utah) Lone Peak three-star tight end Bear Tenney made the call in late April. Maize (Kan.) three-star wide receiver Bryson Hayes and Littleton (Colo.) Heritage three-star WR Tanner Terch round out the class.
