Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's "emergence" could cause "internal tensions in the Royal Family", according to a PR expert.
The princesses joined Prince William at a Buckingham Palace garden party last month, with many commentators suggesting the sisters could become working members of the Royal Family.
However, a PR expert spoke exclusively to GB News about why Beatrice and Eugenie becoming working royals might not work in practice.
Grayce McCormick, the founder of Lightfinder Public Relations, claimed: "The emergence of new working royals may fuel comparisons and competition within the Royal Family.
"It could potentially lead to internal tensions or conflicts that could damage the monarchy's public image."
The list of current working royals includes King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Prince Edward, the Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke of Kent, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
Princess Kate, 42, stepped back from public duties earlier this year following major abdominal surgery.
She later announced via a video message that she had begun a course of preventative chemotherapy.
Therefore, the "emergence" of Beatrice and Eugenie could be met with public praise due to the current shortage of working royals.
However, McCormick argued their promotions could cause "tensions" within the Royal Family due to "competition".
The York Princesses' appearance at last month's Buckingham Palace garden party was received well by fans due to their visible support for the Royal Family.
Beatrice, 35, and Eugenie, 34, may also provide a younger image for the Royal Family, as the majority of working royals are over the age of 60, except for Prince William, 41, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, 59.

This is likely due to the fact the princesses are the daughters of Prince Andrew, who was forced to step down as a working royal in 2019 following his Newsnight interview.

However, royal commentator Gareth Russell previously told GB News that it is "unfair" to blame Beatrice and Eugenie for their father's alleged mistakes.
