Trump Has a Nasty Surprise Waiting for Him in Las Vegas

Former President Donald Trump is set to hold a campaign rally Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas — where a new billboard blasts him as a "convicted white-collar crook."

The sign, paid for by the Democratic National Committee, also accuses the presumptive Republican challenger to President Joe Biden of having been a "disaster for Nevada's economy."

"Now he's back. A convicted white-collar crook. Coddling billionaires, leaving workers behind," the negative campaign ad says, the Democratic National Committee reported on X.

The billboard, which alludes to the historic New York City trial in which jurors last month found Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts in the Stormy Daniels hush money case, is positioned along a highway a few miles from Trump's outdoor rally site in Sin City, according to Politico.

The DNC displayed a similar message last week outside Phoenix, where Trump made his first post-conviction campaign appearance Thursday at an event held by the conservative Turning Point Action group, Axios reported at the time.

The temperature that day reached a record 113 degrees and 11 people were treated at a nearby hospital for heat exhaustion after waiting in line for hours outside the Dream City Church.

Sunday's temperatures in Las Vegas are expected to top 100 degrees while supporters bake in the sun. Trump's campaign has hired extra medics, brought bottled water and will let attendees carry umbrellas in an attempt to beat the heat, according to the Associated Press.
