Dunav Named Official Insurer Of Serbian Athletic Federation In Landmark Agreement

In a landmark agreement at the Athletic Hall in Belgrade, Dunav Insurance Company has been named the official insurer of the Serbian Athletic Federation. The comprehensive contract covers property insurance for the Federation and health and travel insurance for all its members.

The contract was inked by Veselin Jevrosimović, President of the Federation, and Milo Markovic, a member of Dunav Osiguranje’s Executive Board. Markovic emphasized the company’s commitment to fostering a healthier and more humane environment for the younger generation. As the market leader, Dunav Osiguranje is dedicated to supporting various sectors where children and youth can showcase their talents and achieve growth. This support extends beyond sports to include science, culture, and the arts.

“It is an honour and a great pleasure to support the sports federation which has been spreading glory of Serbian athletics worldwide for several consecutive years. The gold, silver, and bronze medals of our athletic champions not only demonstrate their willpower, perseverance, and dedication to athletic growth and development from an early age, but also the increasing popularity and popularization of the queen of sports in Serbia, ” stated Milo Markovic.

“Today’s signing of the sponsorship agreement with the Serbian Athletic Federation continues our successful cooperation and confirms Dunav’s readiness to serve as the official insurer of this growing federation and sport,” he added, wishing all the athletes good health and continued success on behalf of Dunav.

Jevrosimovic expressed relief and gratitude, highlighting the importance of having a socially responsible company safeguard the Federation’s property and the health of its members.

“The support from Dunav Osiguranje comes at the right time, in an exceptionally challenging competitive year in which we are about to participate in the European Championship in Rome and the Olympic Games. This is a perfect example of how a major company can stand side by side with the athletes, for which we are especially grateful,” Jevrosimovic emphasized.

Edin Zukovic, the selector of the Serbian athletics team, announced the major competitions awaiting Serbian athletes this year: the Balkan Championship, the European Championship for younger juniors, and, as the highlight of the season, the Olympic Games in Paris. He also noted that the season would conclude with the World Championship in Lima, where the national team members are expected to shine.
