The Texas A&M Aggies are only one win away from punching their tickets to Omaha. The Aggies are in a fierce battle with the Oregon Ducks in Game 2 of their Super Regional on Sunday night. Currently, they trail the Ducks 7-4 in the bottom of the fourth inning. In his in-game interview, Aggies head coach Jim Schlossnagle was quick to credit the Texas A&M fans for how much support they’ve shown the program.

In Game 1, the Aggies drew a crowd of more than 7,800 fans. And on Sunday, it seems like an even bigger crowd. What can his team take away from the special atmosphere in College Station? “Well, first of all, it’s way more than that because we don’t get to count the people out there in the Aggie eye. Yeah, I mean, the 12th man’s awesome. They’ve been this way, especially all this year. It’s always great. But we try to give them better baseball. They’ve been great all year. Every game’s been packed,” Schlossnagle explained to the ESPNU broadcast crew.

What’s his team’s strategy now that they trail early on Sunday? “You just gotta pick your pitch. We can’t be in a hurry to hit. I mean, just gotta throw some pitches. Trying to get in the bullpen. The biggest thing is we gotta throw to zero. We’ve gotta stop the bleeding. Give us a chance to really catch them,” Schlossnagle finished.
