Arsenal fans now all saying the same thing about Santi Cazorla after his latest comments

Many Arsenal supporters have now reacted to the latest comments from former midfield star Santi Cazorla.

Santi Cazorla remains a popular figure at Arsenal.

The Spanish midfielder is not only adored in North London, though. Cazorla was recently hailed by Real Oviedo players and fans as he helped the Spanish outfit to create history.

Mikel Arteta also enjoys a strong friendship with the 39-year-old. So much so that Arteta has “left the door open” for Cazorla to return to the Emirates Stadium, in a coaching capacity, according to the Real Oviedo star himself, as quoted by Sky Sports.

What Santi Cazorla would bring to Arsenal as a coach

At his best, Cazorla was a magician for the Gunners. Equally secure with either foot, and brilliantly technically gifted, he could pull opposition defences apart and had an eye for the spectacular. He was also tactically disciplined and unafraid to chip with his defensive duties. Whilst injuries devastated the latter part of his Arsenal career, the 81-cap former Spain international was always adored at the Emirates Stadium.

Were he to return to the club as a coach in the near future then Arteta’s squad would certainly stand to benefit from his experience. Particularly Martin Odegaard, after Cazorla has already stated that he sees something of himself in the Arsenal captain. The likes of Fabio Vieira, Emile Smith Rowe, and Ethan Nwaneri could also learn a great deal from the iconic midfielder.

Arteta is unafraid to shake up his coach staff. Arsenal let Steve Round go, partly due to his disagreement with the manager over the signing of David Raya. Cazorla is obviously inexperienced in coaching terms, but Arteta will hire him in spite of this if he feels his former teammate can help take the Gunners to the next level.

Arsenal fans keen on Santi Cazorla return

Arsenal fans would certainly welcome the return of Cazorla to the club.

One supporter said: “It would be fantastic to have him back.”

Another claimed: “I will personally drive to pick him up and bring him home! Fantastic player and I’m sure would make a great coach aswell bring him home!”

One Arsenal fan stated: “we actually one backroom staff shorts after what happened with Steve Round earlier last season, add Santi and it would be perfect.”

Another observed: “Prime Santi Cazorla would have been the perfect partner for Rice in this system. If these pair in conjunction can coach Nwaneri (and Lokonga, Rice for that matter) to have some of Cazorla’s best attributes then he’s worth having at the club.”
