During the entire period of full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia used Su-57 aircraft only a few times. Mostly, its activity was observed at a fairly remote distance from the contact line, says Illia Yevlash, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force.

"We saw him when he used guided missiles. However, there was no evidence of systematic, constant use, or a fairly close approach to the state border or the contact line,” Yevlash says.

As the Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson explains, the Russians, realizing that this aircraft was worth billions of dollars, did not want to endanger it.

Yesterday, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported that a Russian Su-57 was attacked at the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region. The damage was confirmed by satellite images.

Later, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine noted that there could have been 2 Su-57s downed.
