Cambridge’s Centre for Computing History has thanked Citrix for a £20,000 donation which has helped nearly 9,000 children from 224 schools to experience a unique learning journey at Cambridge’s Centre for Computing History.
The donation by the digital workspace solutions provider based on Cambridge Science Park has allowed the centre to offer discounted school visit rates, allowing thousands of students to explore the past, present, and future of computing, including Cambridge’s influential role in this amazing story.
Through interactive exhibits such as the giant Megaprocessor, historical displays, and hands-on coding and electronics workshops, students have gained a deeper understanding of computing's evolution and its impact on all our lives, while inspiring them to consider diverse careers in technology.

The Centre for Computing History is a pioneering educational charity that opened at Rene Court on Coldhams Road in August 2013. The Centre helps people understand how tech has shaped the modern world and revolutionised the way we live, work and play through interactive displays and exhibitions, a schools programme, learning events and workshops, and an astonishing collection of computing-related artefacts.
“The centre is committed to providing unique learning experiences for students, fostering technological literacy,” concluded Lisa.
