Hunstanton marks 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings with beacon lighting

A coastal town marked the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings with a beacon lighting ceremony last week.

Many came together in Hunstanton to witness the event on Thursday evening, which also saw a flag being flown at 9.15pm.

Hunstanton mayor Michael Ruston said: “It was lowkey in Hunstanton as there was a big event in Lynn.
