A coastal town marked the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings with a beacon lighting ceremony last week.
Many came together in Hunstanton to witness the event on Thursday evening, which also saw a flag being flown at 9.15pm.
Hunstanton mayor Michael Ruston said: “It was lowkey in Hunstanton as there was a big event in Lynn.
“I was there and did the countdown, there was a reasonable crowd who appreciated it.
“It was a nice occasion that was appreciated by those who were there.”
