The U.S.-made Bradley fighting vehicle has recently put three Russian APCs out of commission and has been responsible for obliterating several enemy squads over the past few months.

The armored vehicle packs quite a punch with its 25 mm cannons, 7.62 mm coaxial machine guns, and TOW anti-tank missile launchers.

On Friday, the IFV confronted a Russian BTR-82A APC as it breached the village of Sokil with a squad of infantry soldiers on board.

The Ukrainian military information outlet Militarnyi reported that the Bradley IFV and the enemy APC rushed toward each other at a high speed while maintaining constant fire. The two armored vehicles were close to collision at one point, narrowly missing each other by a few feet.

However, the BTR-82A was no match for the U.S.-made infantry vehicle armed with an M242 Bushmaster gun, and a fatal shot from the Bradley at point-blank range aimed at the hull of the Russian APC ultimately destroyed it.

Video footage of the confrontation, shared by the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces on Telegram, shows the APC in flames following the intense firefight.

"The Bradley infantry fighting vehicle dismantles the enemy armored personnel carrier at close range together with the landing party," the Telegram post reads.

"The epicenter of the fighting is precisely in the Pokrovsky direction. Here the enemy is trying to advance deep into our territory. Soldiers of 47 separate mechanized brigades restrain at least three combat brigades of the Russian Federation."

It is worth noting that the American IFV previously thwarted another Russian advance in the Pokrovsky sector on May 17.

The previous Sunday, June 2, also saw fierce confrontations between the Bradley and Russian APCs, with the American IFV "annihilating" two BTR-82A armored vehicles. The advancement of the APCs through Ukrainian territory was first picked up by aerial scouts, prompting the Bradley to jump into action.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine posted video footage of the fight on X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, "Bradley + its Bushmaster gun = liquidation of the occupiers. An American-made Bradley IFV destroyed two Russian BTR-82 APCs along with the infantry."

In the video, two Russian APCs can be seen moving through an open field at high speeds before taking fire from the Bradley IFV. After a hit, one of the APCs came to a halt as Russian infantrymen poured out of the vehicle moments before it blew up in a huge explosion.

As soldiers scurried away in different directions, the IFV focused its fire on them before taking out the second APC.

Russia has lost a total of 15,144 armored vehicles since February 2022. By: Telegram/47th Mechanized Brigade

Militarnyi wrote in its June 2 report about the fight, "Russian infantrymen were riding on armored vehicles covered with anti-drone 'grills' so the Ukrainian gunner first fired at the areas where the infantry was located, and then targeted the armored personnel carriers."

"It can be seen that one of the BTR-82A vehicles experienced a characteristic explosion, evidently on its hull, indicating ammunition onboard in addition to the infantry. As a result of the firepower effect, armored personnel carriers could not continue to move, and the surviving Russian infantry lay in a field near the stricken armored vehicles."

It is believed that most of the soldiers did not survive the skirmish.
