Queen Camilla has given a rare insight into King Charles's health ahead of Trooping the Colour.
The Queen, 76, made a surprise appearance at the Queen's Reading Room Festival on Saturday.
During a chat with author Lee Child, Camilla shared an update on her husband King Charles's health.
Queen Camilla joked to Child that King Charles was "doing fine", but that he "won't slow down and won't do what he's told".
The author quipped back that the King sounded like a "typical husband".
The Queen looked elegant as she arrived for the event, which saw her mingle with several authors, in a sleek navy jumpsuit from Anna Valentine.
The royal carried a clutch bag alongside a pair of hand-warmers in the same colour.
During the event, the 76-year-old met Harry Potter actress Miriam Margolyes.
Speaking to reporters, Margolyes shared: "I just told her how much I love the King, because I do.
"He's an absolute darling, and he's brave as a lion and he's warm and kind and he cares and they've had a hell of a time recently so I just wanted him to know that I love him very much.
"She said she would tell him."
King Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer earlier this year.
Earlier this week, Charles, 75, attended his biggest event yet when he travelled to France alongside Camilla and Prince William to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
For the special occasion, Charles looked smart in a Field Marshall No.4 Tropical Service Dress with medals and decorations.
Meanwhile, Camilla looked elegant in a flowing white coat dress from Anna Valentine and a matching Philip Treacy hat.

She accessorised with a brooch from the Queen Mother's personal collection, the Courtauld Thomson Scallop-Shell Brooch.
The brooch was made in 1919 in London by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co., Ltd. It was designed in part by Sir Courtauld Thomson.
Thomson served as Commissioner for the Red Cross during the First World War.
