The same number of conscripts were mobilized in Ukraine in May as in the last six months, this was stated in an interview with Radio NV by Roman Kostenko, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence.

"Our mobilization rates have increased now. In the past month, we recruited probably as many as in the last six months. In the last four months. May had the largest recruitment," noted the deputy.

However, Kostenko did not disclose more detailed information and figures.

Law on mobilization

A new mobilization law came into effect in Ukraine in May. The document obliges conscripted Ukrainians to update their information at the Military Registration and Enlistment Office within 60 days.

The law also includes a number of new restrictions for those who evade mobilization. In particular, such men will have their driver's licenses revoked.

According to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, mobilization in Ukraine increased after this law came into effect.
