Alina Habba, Donald Trump's attorney and spokeswoman, doubled down on a previous claim that she had to "survive" on peanuts and Coca-Cola as a child.
Habba's remarks went viral over the weekend after she told the story at Turning Point USA's Young Women's Leadership Summit.
"My first home when I was born was across the street from a McDonald's," Habba explained, "and my father used to take the money that he could have and got a Coke and a pack of peanuts every day so that we could survive."

On Monday, podcaster Charlie Kirk asked why she had been mocked over the claim.
"Maybe normalizing me is a problem," she replied. "People have T.D.S. (), and I think to some extent I'm an extension of that."
"I know that there were comments that were just beyond comprehension, trying to break down, fact-check me. I really can't be fact-checked on my life," she added. "I'm happy to break it down further for everybody and all the nastiness."
"No, my life is not perfect, was not perfect, but it was the way God meant it to be."
