Apple will soon be selling its Vision Pro computer glasses in Germany, with the market launch planned for July 12, Apple chief executive Tim Cook announced on Monday at the Apple Worldwide Developers' Conference (WWDC).

The purchase price starts at €3,999 ($4,303).

With the Vision Pro, users can immerse themselves in digital worlds. In addition to virtual reality (VR), the Apple headset is also designed to mix digital content with the real environment.

Apple wants to establish the device for use with its Mac computers: Large displays appear in the glasses while you type on the visible real keyboard.

At the WWDC, Apple also announced an improved operating system version for the Vision Pro.

The Vision Pro was launched on the US market in February at a price starting at $3,500 before tax. The biggest competitor in the market is the Facebook group Meta, which sells its Quest 3 VR glasses from a price of €550.
