Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene threatened Rep. James Comer when he urged her to apologize to Rep. Jasmine Crockett over the two women's viral screaming match in House chambers last month, multiple Republican sources have revealed to CNN.

The Georgia Republican told Comer her "people" would not tolerate any effort to silence her, which multiple witnesses said was a reference to the looming threat of Greene's MAGA base, according to the report.

“They are over her, but they still fear her," one Republican lawmaker reportedly said. "She has an incredible audience and fundraising mechanism and could turn that against you."

This is just one encounter multiple Republican lawmakers shared with CNN in their extensive report on Greene's mounting campaign against her own party, and the fears such a campaign spurs.

“She is not part of any group,” one GOP lawmaker said of Greene. “She’s kind of an island unto herself.”

Another anonymous Republican linked Greene's repeated and public tantrums to the ouster of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy who was better prepared than his replacement, Mike Johnson, to handle the outspoken Georgia representative.

“(McCarthy) kept her in bubble wrap,” the lawmaker reportedly said.

CNN reports Johnson has brought a "building-the-plane-as-it-was-taking-off mentality" in his handling of Greene who is continuously hurling threats his way.

“You can only do so much," Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) told CNN. "I have four kids, eight grandkids. You can’t give all the attention to the one who is not behaving.”

For her part, Greene seemed to revel in her fear-inducing behavior, swearing repeatedly in her discussions with CNN about interactions with Comer and Johnson.

“There’s no f---ing way I’m doing that," Greene said she told Comer "I won’t apologize."

After Greene last week pitched Johnson a slew of challenges to former President Donald Trump's criminal conviction — which included an impeachment of President Joe Biden, defunding special counsel's criminal investigation and letting government funding lapse — she swore at CNN again.

"What does it matter funding the government?" Greene reportedly said. "The American people don’t give a s---."
