Tyler Reddick would love to see NASCAR have a Cup Series race in either Denver or New York City soon. While speaking to Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports, Reddick expressed his desire to race in more big cities.

“I like Denver,” Reddick said. “It would be really cool if we could somehow race on the streets of New York City. It probably will never happen, but it would be cool if it did.”I love [the track] Homestead-Miami, but I wish it was closer to Miami. And we need to be racing in L.A. somewhere.”

Reddick’s comments come as NASCAR will make its return to Iowa this weekend. Pockrass also talked to other drivers about which track they would like to see make a return. Ryan Blaney told Pockrass that he wants to see NASCAR return to Chicagoland Speedway which is 45 minutes outside of Chicago.

“Joliet deserves to have a race back at it,” Blaney said. “I definitely think the track we need to revitalize. If we’re revitalizing tracks, let’s revitalize Chicago. You start with that one. The other ones I don’t have too many opinions about.”

Joey Logano also shared his thoughts on going to a new track and new city. “Any time we go to a new facility or a new town of any sort, it’s been a home run,” Logano said. “Think of Road America. It’s not the biggest town there, but people show up. It’s the unknown. People like change and new things. Adding a new track to the circuit every year makes total sense. Wherever it is, I don’t really care. Let’s go.”

Looking at Tyler Reddick’s 2024 season

Reddick is having a strong 2024 season. He won the spring race at Talladega and has earned five top-five finishes. On Sunday, Reddick finished eighth at Sonoma and is fourth in the Cup Series standings behind Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson.

Reddick competes for 23XI Racing which is co-owned by Michael Jordan who attended the Talladega race. After the race, Jordan said his team winning the race was better than an NBA playoff win, which led to a reaction from Reddick.

“I’m really excited that I was able to do it, but my excitement level would not change whether it was me or Bubba that got him to victory lane when he was here at the track,” Reddick told reporters at the time. “He means a lot to everyone here at 23XI. He makes a big effort to talk to me, talk to Bubba, talk to Denny, talk to Steve, talk to other individuals on the team and pump us up when we need it. To have him here to experience Victory Lane for the first time is really special.”
