Russian troops continue to exert pressure in Pokrovsk direction - General Staff

As of the evening of June 11, the number of combat engagements on the front has increased to 87. The most intense situation is in the Pokrovsk direction. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are providing a strong resistance and holding back the enemy's advance, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops attempted another assault on our positions, and fighting is ongoing near the village of Hlyboke. Four attacks have been repelled today in the areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried to assault the positions of the Defense Forces eight times. Five of these assaults failed, and three are still ongoing near the settlements of Pishchane, Berestove, and Synkivka. The situation is under control.

Ukrainian soldiers are actively eliminating the enemy—so far, the Russian army has lost 134 personnel, either wounded or killed, in this direction. Four enemy guns and four vehicles have been damaged.

Six out of 19 battles are still ongoing in the Pokrovsk direction. Russian forces continue to pressure our defenses near Novooleksandrivka.

In the afternoon, the Russian army significantly increased its air activity, conducting five airstrikes on the areas of Vovche, Oleksandropil, Vozdvyzhenka, Yevhenivka, and Zhelanne.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops persist in their attempts to weaken our defense potential and intimidate civilians. They carried out four airstrikes today, targeting the areas of Staromayorske, Kostyantynivka, Blahodatne, and Urozhayne.

Since the beginning of the day, Russia has been stubbornly trying to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions in the Orikhiv direction, attacking six times. They faced strong resistance in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky, Novoprokopivka, and Verbove.

"In other directions, the situation has not changed significantly," added the General Staff.

Situation on the frontline

According to preliminary data from the General Staff, in the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian army continues its attempts to break through our defense in several areas.

As noted by analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian fighters conducted a successful counterattack southwest of Donetsk and regained lost positions in the Solodke area.
