Former President Donald Trump's campaign rescinded and reissued its response to Hunter Biden's criminal conviction to scrub well wishes for President Joe Biden's son, according to a new report.

Trump's campaign sent CNN two statements regarding the guilty verdict in Hunter Biden's Delaware federal court case on felony gun charges linked to his admitted drug addiction, the news outlet reported Tuesday.

The first included the comment, "As for Hunter, we wish him well in his recovery and legal affairs.”

The second did not.

Instead, the updated statement simply doubled down on repeated corruption accusations and claimed Trump, also a convicted felon, would prevail against the president on Election Day in November.

“This trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine," the statement read.

"Crooked Joe Biden’s reign over the Biden Family Criminal Empire is all coming to an end on November 5th, and never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit."

The campaign chose not to scrub a statement CNN's fact check noted was baseless.

"There is no evidence Joe Biden has received large sums of money from China or has otherwise gained wealth as a result of his son’s business dealings abroad," the CNN report states.

News of Trump's rescinded well wishes quickly spread on social media where readers professed themselves less than surprised.

"The cruelty is a feature," said X user @SavannahSaint, "not a bug."

"Wishing Hunter Biden well is the Christian thing to do," added @reallyandrea. "So Trump won’t do it."
