President of Argentina, Javier Milei, has ultimately decided to participate in the Peace Summit on Ukraine, which will take place on June 15-16 in Switzerland, reports Clarin.

According to the source, Milei decided to participate in the Peace Summit "at the last minute." This happened after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sent him a special message urging him to take part at least in the opening ceremony of the summit on June 15.

Clarin also reports that about 20 Argentine organizations representing the Ukrainian diaspora sent a letter to the Argentine president with a similar call.

Journalists specify that Milei may have received messages about the need to participate in the Peace Summit not only from Kyiv but also from Washington.

It is expected that along with the President of Argentina, his sister and the Minister of Defense of Argentina, Luis Petri, will also attend the event in Switzerland.

Milei's participation in the Peace Summit

It's worth mentioning that earlier, La Nacion reported that the President of Argentina, Javier Milei, would not participate in the Peace Summit.

This was linked to the fact that the head of the Argentine state wants to be in his country during the celebration of Latin American Freedom Day on June 17 and Flag Day on June 20.

Officially, this information was not confirmed in Argentina.
