Middleton (Wisc.) three-star defensive lineman Torin Pettaway has re-flipped his commitment from Minnesota to Wisconsin, he announced on Tuesday.

Pettaway flipped to the Golden Gophers on March 28, but is now back in the Badgers’ 2025 class less than three months later. He originally committed to Wisconsin on March 7.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pounder is the No. 630 overall prospect and No. 55 DL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin got Pettaway back to Madison for an official visit at the beginning of June. He now gives Luke Fickell’s pledge list another bump, as the Badgers’ class now features 17 commitments and ranks No. 22 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Badgers continue big June on the trail

Wisconsin has now landed five commitments this month with the addition of Pettaway. On Monday, Indianapolis Lawrence Central three-star tight end Nizyi Davis announced his pledge. The pair join fellow recent commits in Scottsdale (Ariz.) Brophy College Preparatory four-star interior offensive lineman Logan Powell, Massillon (Ohio) Washington four-star offensive tackle Nolan Davenport and Tampa Bay Tech three-star corner Rukeem Stroud.

Monticello (Minn.) Senior three-star ATH Luke Emmerich and four-star wide receiver Cameron Miller joined the class in May. Dexter (Mich.) three-star offensive tackle Cam Clark became the second offensive tackle to join the class at the end of April, following Wautoma (Wisc.) four-star Michael Roeske, a top-30 player at the position who pledged back in November.

Cincinnati Mt. Healthy four-star cornerback Jaimier Scott is the top-rated prospect in the class, checking in at No. 237 overall.

Fredericksburg (Va.) St. Michael three-star safety Remington Moss flanks Scott in the secondary. Trenton (N.J.) Lawrenceville three-star EDGE Samuel Lateju is a top-25 player in the Garden State, while Franklin (Tenn.) Fred J Page three-star LB Brenden Anes and Germantown (Wisc.) three-star LB Cooper Catalano bolster the class.
