"The Daily Show" host Jordan Klepper pulled no punches against Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and his wife Tuesday night after she expressed disdain over seeing rainbow Pride flags during Pride Month, and even went so far as suggesting she should fly a Sacred Heart of Jesus flag in response — or design her own flag with the word "vergogna," Italian for "shame."
Klepper eased into his takedown of Martha-Ann Alito by pointing out, "This lady loves flags."
Indeed Mrs. Alito threw her husband into national scandal by waving a "Stop the Steal" flag after Jan. 6, 202, an upside-down American flag that flew at their Virginia home — a flag that often symbolizes distress — and an "Appeal to Heaven" flag at their New Jersey beach home.

In this segment, Klepper aimed squarely at the Alitos affinity for flags.
"And if you thought two flags was a lot of flags," Klepper said, referring to the upside down flag and the "Appeal to Heaven" flag, "this lady's just getting started."

The Daily Show then played leaked audio of Mrs. Alito talking about wanting to fly a "Sacred Heart of Jesus flag," because, she said, she has to "look across the lagoon t the Pride flag for the next month."
In the clip, Mrs. Alito said she wouldn't do it now, but that once her husband is "free of this nonsense," she'd put it up and "send them a message every day."
"Maybe every week I'll be changing the flags," she said.
Mrs. Alito's ant-LGBT stance appeared to shock Klepper, who responded "Holy s---! This lady loves flags!"
"I mean, once Alito retires, that house is going to look like a f---ing Spanish galleon!"
And Klepper wasn't done there.
"I mean, lady, the United Nations called, they said, 'tone it down with the flags, you know," he said. "Even Betsy Ross is like, 'Jesus.'"
Klepper then blasted her comment that her husband was involved in "nonsense," and then let her have it over wanting to display Christian flags in response to flags supporting the LGBT community.
"Because everyone knows Jesus is the ultimate symbol of f--- your love," Klepper said before mocking Mrs. Alito's comments that coming up with new flag ideas is how she satisfies herself.
"Oh-oh-oh," Klepper said with a laugh. "First off, what a burn on Justice Alito. Your wife is going around telling strangers that she has to think up new flags to satisfy herself."
"I got to think up new flags," Klepper says, imitating Mrs. Alito, "because it's not like there's anybody else taking care of my needs. Somebody's got to Plessy my Ferguson."
