Sienna Miller redesigned vintage pieces for high street collection

Sienna Miller took inspiration from her own wardrobe and redesigned some classic vintage pieces for her Marks and Spencer collection.

The 42-year-old actress has created a capsule collection for the British high street giant and she's revealed every item is very much what she "likes to wear".

She told Harper's Bazaar magazine: "There are about 20 pieces. Essentially, you could pack that range in your suitcase and you have a holiday wardrobe.

"It’s a combination of things from my own wardrobe and things that I wanted – vintage pieces that I redesigned. It’s very much what I like to wear.

"I do have an aesthetic."

A statement from Marks and Spencer explained of the rage: "Introducing M and S x Sienna Miller. A limited-edition capsule collection designed by Sienna Miller and inspired by her own coveted wardrobe, her love of vintage and an iconic decade of style.

"Tap into the free-spirited mood of the Seventies with tops, dresses, jeans, jackets and swimwear designed to be worn all summer long."

The 33-piece range includes a beaded tank top, 1970s-style prints, a lace blouse and several maxi-dresses as well as accessories including sandals, a handbag and a belt all inspired by Sienna's signature boho style.

Sienna began working with the brand last year by fronting an autumn campaign for them and she signed up to create her own designs for this summer.

She previously said in a statement announcing the collaboration: "I have always had a genuine love for M and S – it's a brand that is part of the fabric of British life and holds special associations for so many people,.

"Seeing the reaction to the autumn campaign that I fronted was phenomenal. To collaborate on a womenswear design project made total sense. I can’t wait to see what customers think of the collection."
