Russian shelling of Kryvyi Rih: At least 7 Killed and 20 injured

Today, on June 12, Russian occupants shelled Kryvyi Rih. At least six people were killed as a result of the Russian attack, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says.

"A Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. There are currently 11 wounded and 6 killed. My condolences to the families and friends of the victims. All necessary services are working on the spot," the head of state notes.

He adds that such attacks prove the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

According to Zelenskyy, modern air defense systems can provide maximum protection for civilians, cities, and the positions of Ukrainian soldiers.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, 7 people were killed and 20 wounded in Kryvyi Rih as a result of a Russian rocket attack.

Rescue operations are ongoing, so information about the victims will be updated, the Prosecutor General's Office adds.

A pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war and premeditated murder has been launched.

Russian shelling of Kryvyi Rih

On June 12, at about 3:50 p.m., Russia struck Kryvyi Rih. At the time, the Dnipropetrovsk region was on alert due to the threat of ballistic missiles.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, later said that the Russian occupiers had hit the residential sector of Kryvyi Rih.

At the same time, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, said that the headquarters for helping the victims was deployed at 36A Heroiv Pidpilnykiv Avenue.
