Russian shelling of Kyiv region aftermath: Firefighting efforts continue for 16 hours

In the Kyiv region, rescuers are still extinguishing a fire that started around 7 a.m. at an industrial enterprise due to a nighttime Russian attack, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"Kyiv region: firefighting continues at an industrial enterprise caused by Russia's armed aggression," the SES says in a statement.

A total of 247 personnel, 111 pieces of equipment, and 4 fire trains are working at the scene.

On the night of June 12, Russia attacked the territory of Ukraine with attack drones and cruise missiles.

In Kyiv region, according to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, a fire broke out at an industrial enterprise due to Russian shelling. Over 105 people and 30 pieces of equipment were involved in the initial firefighting.
