Oklahoma wide receiver Deion Burks was arrested earlier this month on multiple misdemeanor driving counts, On3 and SoonerScoop’s George Stoia III reported. The arrest took place June 1.
Burks is facing DUI and speeding counts as a result of the incident, according to Stoia. OU athletics released a brief statement on the situation, saying it’s being “addressed internally.”
“We are aware of the matter and it is being addressed internally,” an athletics department spokesperson said in a statement to SoonerScoop.
