'Show humanity': Ex-adviser urges Trump to pardon Biden's son

The convicted former president ought to be "magnanimous" and promise to pardon the current president's convicted son.

That's according to David Urban, former strategist to Donald Trump, who advised his one-time boss to boldly make the vow now that Hunter Biden was found guilty in his illegal gun license trial.

"I'd like to see President Trump come out with a statement saying, 'Look, if Hunter Biden commits to a program of sobriety and inpatient or maybe outpatient [treatment]," he said pretending to be Trump, "'If he shows up, keeps his sobriety — I'll pardon him!'

"I'd love to see President Trump say that. It would be a magnanimous offer on his part. Shows humanity and really flips the tables on the Democrats."

Hunter Biden was convicted Tuesday of all three felonies involving the 2018 purchase of a revolver, having fibbed on the form about being hooked on crack.

Prior to his son's conviction, President Joe Biden publicly confirmed he wouldn't pardon Hunter if he were to be found guilty. Shortly after the verdict, the president said he would accept the outcome and “continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal.”

Notably, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was wishy-washy when asked about a potential commutation: “I just don’t have anything beyond that."

Trump also was convicted last week of all 34 charges of falsifying business records to shield hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels, who alleged a sexual romp, in a scheme to corrupt the 2016 election.

Soon after Hunter discovered he was a felon, the Republican presumptive nominee's campaign sent out two responses.

The first included a whiff of niceties that Urban hopes Trump embraces: "As for Hunter, we wish him well in his recovery and legal affairs.”

However, the second missive nixed the line.

The updated statement was less magnanimous indeed, repeatedly hammering home corruption accusations and claiming Trump would prevail against the president on Election Day in November.

“This trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine," the statement read.
