WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Our annual State Of The U series continues. Today we continue to break down the recruiting classes that make up this year’s team, and that means we’re taking a deep dive into the Class of 2022. So be sure to check that out.

There’s also our continuing analysis of the top 50 roster players, giving insight onto this team’s talent level and depth. Check out our closer look at No. 17, Wesley Bissainthe.

In recruiting?

We have updates on some of your upcoming official visitors this weekend. We catch up with Tampa (Fla.) Zephyrhills five-star cornerback DJ Pickett, Louisville (Ky.) Male class three-star IOL Isaac “Spike” Sowells , Miami (Fla.) Central four-star defensive back Amari Wallace and Tampa (Fla.) Armwood four-star Miami running back commit Girard Pringle for their thoughts heading into another big OV weekend.

There’s also CaneSport’s Izubee Charles on The Inside Scoop talking about the latest on Elijah Griffin and breaking down who could be the next prospect to commit to Miami. So don’t miss that, either.

Plus CaneSport’s Stephen Wagner takes a look at predictions he’s made for Miami to land four-star running back Byron Louis, four-star nickelback Amari Wallace, four-star defensive lineman Randy Adirika, four-star cornerback Chris Ewald Jr. and three-star linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin. Is he still standing by those?

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

My take on the program … Posted by 289FIA

Huge season for Mario and the crew … really hope they coach up to roster talent and we see some dominant games. Need to change the narrative regarding this program nationally. Most people just look at the past 2 years records and don’t pay a lot of attention to what is going on 24/7 regarding improving this program. A CFP appearance would do wonders.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“It’s the crib, so why not go visit the crib on an official visit?. Secondly, I’ve got some good (relationships) with me and the head coach, me and the DB coach, me and the defensive coordinator. Miami, all I can say is they’ve been showing me love. The love coming for me from that school, they’ve been with me since my 10th grade year. Coach Smith was my coach and they brought him on, and that’s good. The crib just loves me. That’s all I can say.”
