With 90 Day Fiancé nearing the end of season 10, we have witnessed a decade of trans-continental romance. Today we look back at fan favorite Jorge Nava of season 4 and see what he’s been up to since the show aired.
90 Day Fiancé has documented international relationships since it debuted in 2014. With countless spin-offs from TLC, we have seen the couples before, during, and after the trials and tribulations of the K1 visa process. While some couples are celebrating a decade of being married, many haven’t managed to get their happy ever after. Stars like ‘Big Ed’ continue to appear on our screens in multiple seasons. Season 4 documented American Jorge Nava and his Russian partner Anfisa Arkhipchenko Nava with plenty of drama. Let’s take a look at Jorge’s life since the show and if he did manage to find his Happily Ever After in the end.
Jorge Nava’s appearance on 90 Day Fiancé
Jorge and Anfisa first started talking on social media, before Anfisa moved to the U.S. on a K-1 visa to be with Jorge, leaving the couple just 90 days to decide whether they would marry. The couple had an explosive relationship on screen, with fans calling out Anfisa for being abusive to Jorge. Gold digger rumors flew as it was suggested that Anfisa was only marrying Jorge for a Green Card.
Unlikely as it seemed, the pair worked through their differences and were married in August 2017. Appearing in two seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, they became a memorable couple among fans for their troubled marriage.
Jorge Nava dramatic second chance in life due to arrest
Jorge was arrested for transporting 297 pounds of marijuana in 10 Duffel bags, crossing the border into Arizona. He was initially pulled over to check his sobriety after some ‘bumpy’ driving, when sniffer dogs discovered the large amounts of marijuana in his car. The arresting officer recognized him from the show, and he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
Jorge served two of those years and during an appearance on 90 Bares All, he shares his dramatic story about what life was like in prison and how he achieved his 128 pound weight loss.
During his time in prison Anfisa and Jorge’s relationship fell apart, they were officially divorced in December 2020 shortly after his release in May.
He states on 90 Bares All: “Probably about two months after I was in prison, she basically told me that she couldn’t be with me anymore.” He says he later found out she had a new boyfriend through the internet.
“That definitely hurt,” he recalls. “It really broke my heart. The last time I spoke with Anfisa, she asked me if I knew already that she was with somebody else. I told her I did know and as soon as I get released from prison, I’m going to file for divorce. At least now, I’m stronger mentally. I’m stronger emotionally. I’ve gone through a lot of changes here in prison.”
Jorge was still “open” to find love again.
Jorge gets his happily ever after
Jorge’s most recent post on Instagram is a loved up ode to his current wife, Rhoda Nava. The pair married in August 2022. They also share two beautiful children, a daughter Zara the pair welcomed in 2021, and more recently a son born in March 2022.
Both children are featured in some very cute family photos on Instagram. It seems Jorge found himself a much healthier and happier relationship since his prison stint and time on the show.
