Jealous Trump still complaining about Taylor Swift endorsing 'dope' Biden: report

Former President Donald Trump was on Capitol Hill Thursday to speak to Republican Party lawmakers, and he is still talking about pop star Taylor Swift.

A news report earlier this week revealed Trump's shock that Swift was not a fan of his, a long-held opinion of hers that surfaced during the 2020 election cycle. According to a new book by Variety editor Ramin Setoodeh, Trump couldn't understand why a "country" star wouldn't support him. Swift evolved from country music to pop with her album in 2014, a New York Times report explained.

After the story made its rounds in the media, CNN Capitol Hill reporter Melanie Zanona posted on X that Trump proved he still couldn't stop thinking about Swift while speaking to his GOP pals.

According to CNN, at the meeting at the Capitol Hill Club, Trump told lawmakers, “Why would she endorse this dope? He doesn’t even know how to get off the stage.” Other media outlets also confirmed that Trump made comments about Swift.

Trump was still ranting about Swift in February, where he claimed on Truth Social he was the reason she was so rich: "I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will."

"There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal (sic), and probably can’t stand me!" he added.

Trump also returned to his comments about the fictional cannibal Hannibal Lecter.

“Hannibal [Lecter]…..nice guy….he even had a friend over for dinner," Trump said.
