ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A civilian employee at the St. Petersburg Police Department, Robin Conyers, 59, faces charges for accessing confidential police databases to provide information to a man who used it to commit a crime.
She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail today and placed on administrative leave without pay, pending the outcome of the criminal charges.
According to investigators, Conyers' supervisor noticed entries that were not work-related during a routine quarterly audit.

The information was turned over to the Office of Professional Standards for investigation.
Detectives found that Conyers not only violated Police Department policies but also committed a crime.
She shared information on the deceased owner of a vehicle with Delon Walton.
Walton then used the information to fraudulently transfer the title of the vehicle to his own company. St. Petersburg Police arrested Walton last month on various charges.

Conyers is charged with unlawful use of a two-way communication device, offenses against computer users, and misuse of confidential information.
