60% of fights ongoing on Pokrovsk and Kurakhove fronts (Vitalii Nosach, RBC-Ukraine)

Since the beginning of the day, more than 60% of the total number of hostilities along the frontline has been recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

A total of 48 combat clashes have taken place along the entire frontline since the beginning of the day.

Situation in sectors

In the Kharkiv sector, two hostile attacks were repelled in the vicinity of Tykhe and Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian military fired unguided missiles in the direction of Hlushkivka.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy tried four times to improve the tactical situation near Nevske and Hrekivka. Currently, fighting is ongoing in the area of the latter settlement.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the highest intensity of hostile attacks has been observed recently. The number of combat clashes has increased to 18 since the beginning of the day. Currently, 8 firefights are ongoing in the following areas:

  • Novooleksandrivka;
  • Sokil;
  • Novoselivka Persha;
  • Netailove.

The Russians are actively supporting ground attacks with air power - 5 air strikes have been carried out. The enemy bombarded the areas of Vovche, Tymofiivka and Novopokrovske with 10 UAVs. Unguided aerial missiles were fired in the direction of Novoselivka Persha and Oleksandropol.

In the Vremivka sector, Russians attacked three times in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, and Urozhaine. They dropped two bombs near Yelyzavetivka.

Situation at the front

According to analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian troops were successful in counterattacks in the northern part of the Kharkiv region. But the enemy is advancing near Siversk and Avdiivka.
