Every Barcelona player at Euro 2024 as 11 stars prepare to represent their nation this summer

Barcelona may not be in action over the next month, but 11 of their players will be competing in the European Championships.

A lot of players will be entering the tournament with points to prove after a fairly underwhelming campaign for Barcelona, but some will be hopeful of success on individual and team levels.

Some stars will miss the tournament with injury, including Spain duo Gavi and Alejandro Balde, whilst Frenkie De Jong recently pulled out of the Netherlands squad after failing to recover from an injury.

Barcelona do have a number of players at some of the best teams in the competition though, and Spain will also be hoping to reach the late stages of the tournament. Young defender Pau Cubarsi was left out after initially being called up for the provisional squad, but several Blaugrana players will feature for the Spanish National side.

Goalkeepers

Marc Andre Ter Stegen is in the Germany squad, but he will start on the bench, as Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer remains the first choice.

Defenders

Joao Cancelo is in the Portugal squad, who are considered to be one of the strongest teams in the competition.

Jules Kounde is in the France squad, but his starting spot remains under question, with competition from Benjamin Pavard at right-back.

Andreas Christensen has played in midfield for Barcelona in recent months, but is expected to start at centre-back for Denmark.

Midfielders

Pedri and Lamine Yamal are in the Spain squad, and both are expected to start and play starring roles for Luis De La Fuente’s side. Fermin Lopez is also in, but he will likely have to settle for a place on the bench.

Ilkay Gundogan will likely start for Germany as they host the tournament, in what could be his last chance to win the European Championships.

Forwards

Robert Lewandowski is in the Poland squad, but could miss the first two matches after picking up an injury in a recent friendly.

Ferran Torres is part of the Spain squad, but is unlikely to start ahead of Yamal or reported Barcelona target Nico Williams.

Joao Felix is part of a very strong Portugal squad, but after an inconsistent campaign, it remains to be seen where Roberto Martinez tries to fit him into his starting XI.
