Dana Altman got some good news to finish the week after the tough news of N’Faly Dante’s appeal being denied by the NCAA.
Oregon quickly pivoted with a transfer to try and fill that void. Former Georgetown Forward/Center Supreme Cook visited last weekend and ultimately committed to Oregon. The 6-foot-9, 299-pounder averaged 10.5 PPG and 8 rebounds per game for the Hoyas. He played in 32 games and averaged 27 minutes per game.
Oregon will have a loaded frontcourt this season. Cook will join Kwame Evans and Nate Bittle among key returners. Oregon also scored a commitment from Stanford forward Brandon Angel earlier this year. I would expect Oregon to rotate early and often this season among them.
To date, Dana Altman has signed three prep recruits in the 2024 class and four transfers with the addition of Cook. Oregon also recently scored a commitment from former Arizona guard signee Jamari Phillips. Phillips is the No. 52 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings.
