Penn State and most major Division I programs were up late last night reaching out to Class of 2026 prospects to show their interest. In previous years, coaches couldn’t contact high school juniors until August 1, but that’s been updated now to June 15. That made yesterday an incredibly busy day for Penn State’s coaching and recruiting staff. In addition to hosting official visitors and a 7-on-7 tournament, they also had to contact recruits at midnight.

So who are some of the prospects that the Nittany Lions contacted? Below are some graphics that prospects have posted publicly through Saturday morning.

RB Messiah Mickens

Harrisburg running back Messiah Mickens is Penn State’s lone commitment so far in the Class of 2026. Since June 2022, the On300 four-star has visited State College 14 times, including a trip just yesterday to participate in the staff’s Lion Strong 7-on-7 & Big Man Challenge. Mickens is currently the 11-ranked running back nationally in the class.

WR Jaylen Pile

Southlake, Texas, native Jaylen Pile picked up an offer from Penn State over a year ago in March 2023. He’s traveled to State College twice so far, attending a spring practice in April 2023 and then returning for last year’s White Out game in September. Pile has already earned more than two dozen scholarship offers. He holds a three-star rating by On3.

CB Samari Matthews

North Carolina cornerback Samari Matthews is set to be one of the top players at his position in 2026. Already ranked No. 13 in the nation at corner, Matthews has earned more than two dozen scholarship offers already. Penn State extended its offer in Jan. 2023 and he visited for the first time this past March.

Ath. Jyron Hughley

A four-star prospect in On3’s Industry Rankings, Jyron Hughley is the nephew of Penn State running back coach Ja’Juan Seider. The Cardinal Newman prospect is up to 14 offers now and has been to State College twice so far, attending games the past two seasons.

WR Jaire Richburg

Wide receiver Jaire Richburg picked up an offer from Penn State back in January. He hasn’t visited State College yet but has earned 15 offers so far and three-star rating by On3. North Carolina, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech have all hosted him for visits so far.

OL Roseby Lubintus

New Jersey offensive lineman Roseby Lubintus picked up an offer from Penn State back in March while visiting for a spring practice. That was his first offer at the time but he’s since added a handful more, including Maryland, Syracuse and West Virginia. Lubintus is currently unranked by On3.

DL Rodney White

Maryland defensive lineman Rodney White picked up an offer from Penn State in January. He’s earned nine offers so far, including Power Four schools like Boston College, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. White currently holds a three-star rating by On3.

CB Jordan Thomas

New Jersey cornerback Jordan Thomas holds a four-star rating in On3’s Industry Rankings. He’s earned a deep list of scholarship offers already, with more than two dozen schools showing interest. He’s visited Penn State twice so far, both of which took place back in 2023. Maryland, Miami, Notre Dame, Rutgers and Syracuse have also hosted him previously.

DL Cameron Brickle

Malvern Prep defensive tackle Cameron Brickle earned an offer from Penn State back in Nov. 2022. He’s visited six times so far, most recently attending a junior day in May. A three-star prospect, Brickle is already one of Pennsylvania’s most coveted recruits in the class, earning more than two dozen scholarship offers since Sept. 2022.

Ath. Damon Ferguson

Maryland athlete Damon Ferguson hasn’t earned an offer from Penn State yet but he did visit back in February. However, he has earned 19 offers already, including multiple Power Four programs.
