New UCLA head coach DeShaun Foster and his staff continue to deliver on the recruiting trail ahead of a new-look season on the gridiron in Westwood.

The Bruins landed their third blue-chip commitment this cycle on Saturday, as Pittsburg (Calif.) safety Jadyn Hudson made the call in favor of the in-state school. His pledge bumped UCLA up six spots in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, as the new Big Ten program now ranks No. 25 in the nation.

“I knew when I was on my official visit to UCLA on June 1 that I was going there,” Hudson told On3. “Talking to the coaches, spending time with the players and being around all of the people at UCLA, I knew that is where I wanted to go.”

Hudson is the No. 233 overall prospect and No. 21 safety in the 2025 cycle. He’s the Bruins 11th commitment overall and the latest touted in-state recruit to join the fold.

Seven California natives are now committed to UCLA this cycle. That includes three top-300 prospects, all of whom currently headline Foster’s class.

The Bruins landed their top target on May 25, as Long Beach (Calif.) Warren four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava announced his commitment. The younger brother of former five-star recruit and projected Tennessee starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava, Madden is the No. 120 overall prospect and No. 11 QB in the cycle.

“The new staff at UCLA has great NFL experience and getting to the NFL is my goal,” Iamaleava told On3. “Coach White and Coach Eric Bieneimy have coached in the NFL, they have great knowledge and they are great coaches.

“Visiting UCLA with the new staff has been great. They’ve shown a lot of interest in me, the staff has a plan and Coach DeShaun Foster is looking go get UCLA back to where it’s been.”

Earlier in the month, Hesperia (Calif.) Oak Hills four-star running back Karson Cox chose UCLA. The 6-footer is a top-150 recruit and top-10 burner in the 2025 On300.

Four additional in-state prospects are currently in the class: San Juan Capistrano San Juan Hills three-star linebacker Weston Port, Temecula Chapparal three-star cornerback Kuron Jabari Jr., Rocklin three-star offensive tackle Garrison Blank and Los Angeles Loyola three-star EDGE Scott Taylor.

Other commits in the class include Graham (Wash.) Kapowsin three-star tight end Noah Flores, Frisco (Texas) Memorial three-star cornerback Chase Coleman and Queen Creek (Ariz.) three-star TE Dylan Sims.
