Opening betting lines released for five marquee Texas games

CircaSports released lines on Saturday for some of the biggest college football games in the 2024 season, including four Texas Longhorns games. One non-conference battle and three SEC games were included in the announced lines.

The Longhorns’ trip to Ann Arbor, Mich. to play the national champion Michigan Wolverines on September 7 received an opening line of Texas -5.

The 2024 Red River Shootout, the first as an SEC conference game, saw Texas favored by eight points.

Georgia’s trip to Austin for a blockbuster battle at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium saw the Bulldogs favored by two points.

The Florida Gators’ trip to Austin see the boys from ol’ Florida as massive underdogs. Texas is a -18 favorite.

The return of the rivalry with Texas A&M, which restarts at Kyle Field, has the Longhorns as a five-point favorite heading to College Station.
