Over the last two days, Tampa (Fla.) Armwood four-star 2025 Miami running back commit Girard Pringle was in Coral Gables for his official visit with the Hurricanes. Since committing to Miami in the spring, Pringle’s relationship with the program has continued to strengthen, and this weekend was no different.

“It was great,” Pringle said. “Everything was great, all the coaches treating me as family once again. It was a great experience. It raised the bar once again.”

With programs Alabama, Georgia and Florida are continuing to push for the in-state speedster, Pringle has remained solid in his commitment to the Hurricanes.

“I’m not planning on other visits,” he said. “At Miami it’s just family-oriented, just a feeling and I’m locked in. I’m not taking any more visits.”

During his time on campus, the 5-foot-10, 185-pound back was thrilled to reconnect with Miami running backs coach Matt Merritt, who played a crucial role in his commitment to the Canes months ago.

Pringleis is the No. 106 overall prospect in the On300 and the No. 6 running back in the class, and he rushed for 1,683 yards and 24 touchdowns last season.

“They plan on using me in the slot and at running back to show my versatility,” Pringle said. “It’s great, because I will get to show what I can do, and they believe in me just like I believe in myself.”

Pringle says he was especially impressed that this weekend wasn’t just about recruiting or football. “We were just talking about life, life in general,” he said. So this weekend the coaches did a great job of locking Pringle in on the Canes and getting him to shut down his recruitment even with some bigtime programs chasing him.
