Tottenham ready to make bid to sign ‘world-class’ attacker with £50m release clause

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly readying a bid to sign a La Liga forward who has a £50 million release clause.

Ange Postecoglou was left short in attacking areas last season which ultimately led to Timo Werner being snapped up on loan in January.

The German forward’s stay at Tottenham has been extended by a further year but Spurs are expected to bolster the Aussie’s attacking options further.

Injuries to Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic last season also left Postecoglou short, with the latter recently departing on a free transfer.

Sporting CP’s Marcus Edwards has been linked with a return to north London while Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson is a wide forward of interest.

But Mundo Deportivo claims that Spurs are reading a move for another target who is also on Liverpool and Manchester United’s radar.

Spurs are ready to launch a bid to sign the Japanese star, who has also received approaches from four other Premier League sides.
