Arsenal fans react to Declan Rice’s England performance vs Serbia at Euro 2024

Arsenal fans have given their reaction to Declan Rice’s performance for England against Serbia at Euro 2024.

The 25-year-old was named in the starting XI alongside fellow Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka as Rice partnered Trent Alexander-Arnold in the midfield, with Jude Bellingham playing in the advanced no. 10 role.

With Ian Wright confident about England’s chances this summer, the Three Lions kicked off their tournament with a nervy 1-0 win against Serbia, with the aforementioned Bellingham scoring the only goal of the match early on in the first half.

And Arsenal fans have given their verdict on Rice’s performance against Serbia after the full-time whistle.

Declan Rice praised by Arsenal fans after ‘standout’ England display

Playing the full 90 minutes, Rice was once again one of England’s best performers, with Arsenal fans lauding the £105m midfielder despite a difficult evening for the Three Lions.

With a 96% pass completion rate from 81 total passes, the former West Ham captain was as tidy as ever for England, with Rice complimenting Alexander-Arnold well in the midfield.

Indeed, whilst Saka was arguably the standout attacking player for England on the night, Rice showed why he is one of Gareth Southgate’s most trusted players, with the midfielder winning possession ten times against Serbia.

And on social media, Arsenal fans were quick to praise Rice for his impressive performance for the Three Lions, who have already set the pace to progress from the group following Denmark’s earlier draw with Slovenia.
