Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was briefly reunited with one of his former stars while working for Dutch television.
Erik ten Hag was working for Dutch TV to cover Euro 2024, and after talking about his own situation, he discussed one of his former players.
Dusan Tadic was one of Erik ten Hag’s key players at Ajax, and there is strong mutual admiration between the pair.
Tadic was a substitute in Serbia’s 1-0 defeat to England, producing an impressive performance to try and push his side towards an equaliser.

Dusan Tadic, 35, has since left Ajax and is now playing alongside Fred at Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce.
Erik ten Hag was asked about the former Southampton playmaker and spoke glowingly about him.
He was quoted by Voetbal Primeur: “He is the most professional player I have ever worked with. Such a fantastic leader for the rest. He also pulls the rest along and takes responsibility.
“Tadic really takes care of the discipline and he is always fit. He always ensures that there is dynamism and spirit in the team.
“He always had that decisive pass and he won so many games for him. I still have regular contact with him.”
It is players with these attributes Erik ten Hag looks for when he is building his team at the club. Tadic at 35 is in the twilight of his career.
Dusan Tadic praises Erik ten Hag
Dusan Tadic spoke to Dutch television after the game and conversed with Erik ten Hag who was in the studio.
Tadic said that he loved working with the Manchester United boss at Ajax, talking up how hard working he is behind the scenes.
He was quoted by FC Update: “He is the best trainer I have ever had. He is busy with football 24/7. It’s incredible to see. He is always busy with tactics, he wants to constantly develop himself and the team. You learn a lot from him.”
Tadic will be working under new Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho next season, who will attempt to win over the Serb as his new number one.
Ten Hag issued words of encouragement for the veteran adding: “Dusan, good to see you. I’m always happy to see you.
“You are capable of doing great things on the field. You are someone who can decide every match. Today we also saw two good moments from you.”
