Jodie Turner-Smith channeling Gwyneth Paltrow in Joshua Jackson divorce

Jodie Turner-Smith wants to "consciously uncouple" from Joshua Jackson just like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

The actress/model filed for divorce from the 'Dawson's Creek' star - father of her three-year-old daughter Juno Rose - last year citing "irreconcilable differences" for the split and Jackson has since moved on by striking up a romance with 'Black Panther' star Lupita Nyong’o.

When asked about her estranged husband's new relationship, Jodie told The Cut magazine: "Good for them. We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent."

Jodie, 37, went on to reference Paltrow and Martin - who declared plans for a "conscious uncoupling" when they confirmed their split in 2014.

She said: "I’m trying to get us to the Gwyneth and Chris Martin level. I just have to do everything that I can to set Juno up to win and to peacefully co-parent with someone whom I once loved very, very much."

She added of her ex's new relationship: "I truly hope they’re happy and that it benefits us as a family."

Jodie previously admitted ending her four-year marriage to Jackson was the "healthiest" thing to do.

She told the Sunday Times Style magazine: "Sometimes things we really want to work just don't end up working. And that's OK.

"The most important thing is that you choose what's healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children. There are so many different moments in our life where we look at ourselves and say, 'Who am I and am I being true to that?'

"If the answer is no, then you have to make a move because I believe that there are visible scars from staying in places that are not good for us. And they don't just affect us, they affect everybody around us. I don't think it's a failure.

"We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it's time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting!"
