Inspectors from the education watchdog said the “caring and passionate nature” of staff immediately puts children at ease, and that they are “very happy” to leave their parents at the door.

The report states they are confident and eager to engage in their play, which means they quickly become deeply immersed in their learning.

It added: “Children clearly demonstrate that they feel very happy and safe in the wonderful environment that has been created by the dedicated staff team.”

Inspectors have described the curriculum as “highly inclusive” and say it is “planned exceptionally well by the management team”.

Communication and language were also found to be a high priority.

The report states: “The special educational needs coordinator works extremely closely with outside professionals to ensure that personalised intervention is delivered consistently across the setting.

“This continuity in highly effective teaching strategies ensures that excellent progress is made across the seven areas of the early years foundation stage.

“All children, including those with SEND, are more than ready for their next stage of education, especially school.”

Inspectors found that children play in harmony with each other, demonstrating “excellent” behaviour.

It added: “They confidently demonstrate their understanding of why behaviour rules are in place and respond positively to adult requests when it is time to tidy up.”

Children spend a lot of time outside and staff use the garden to allow children to “develop their physical skills and learn how to promote their own good health.”

The management and staff team are also extremely dedicated and passionate about their roles and the “tireless support” they offer to their families ensures all children achieve the best possible outcomes.

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.

The inspection took place on May 13, and the nursery was rated “Outstanding” in all areas.

Its previous inspection, where it was rated “Good”, was in 2018.

Rhiannon Hughes, deputy executive principal, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the recent outstanding Ofsted inspection outcome for our Dartford nursery.

“The quality of the Bright Beginnings Nursery education provided is indeed, exceptional, and to have this recognised by Ofsted is due credit to our wonderful Nursery Manager, Lynne Tomlinson and her professional but friendly team.

“This stage of a young person’s education is so important for their development, and Lynne ensures that every child who is in their nursery, is given the building blocks to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding through inspiring and engaging learning.”
